Self described lo-fi lifeguard pop band Inspired and the Sleep just released a video for their new single ‘Running’.

“The video was put together from clips of lady lifeguards and beaches in the 40s. It is a dedication to my summer job working as a lifeguard here in San Diego which I definitely miss this summer”

‘Running’ is taken from the album ‘Teenager’ was written from a lifeguard tower in North Country, San Diego looking out on the ocean which explains the lifeguard pop title.

It’s 2012 and we all seem to have made it this far. Thought I’d start off the New Year with a new A$AP Rocky track ‘Pretty Flacko’ produced by regular collaborator Spaceghostpurrp (who also produced Rocky’s Purple Swag).

Just got introduced to the smooth jams of Antwerp’s Cozone and his latest mixture ‘Beattape 1′ which can be downloaded for free from his Bandcamp.

Think Dilla mixed with Clams Casino via The Avalanches. Really well produced stuff.

Works that can only be adequately described through relation to visuals and imagination are often the hardest to come by and always the most provoking to the senses; Whyte Fangs’ remix album of The Grates is one such case. Once over, you will need to take a moment to realise what just happened; not an unsettling feeling, just a jolt and a new perspective. These interpretations will inevitably remove you from reality, as though you are running from something, only to wind up at a broken rope bridge at the end of a gorge. Seemingly disarming and outrageously powerful, this is a rework album that will have you seeing sounds and feeling colours; a dream-state experience whilst completely aware.

Put simply, this is some fresher then fresh rework shiz that will blow you away and rip through your ears all in the same instance… dopest dope.

Caught these guys in Brooklyn on Thursday night, these guys really put on a show. Gauntlet Hair have also just dropped this new vid for ‘Top Bunk’ which totally tops most of the other archived footage music videos I’ve seen in the past. The story just kind of works.

King Krule AKA Zoo Kid AKA the dreamy voiced 17 year old from the mother country has just dropped a video for his ever amazing jam ‘The Noose Of Jah City.

Those around me know that I’ve been pretty obsessed with him ever since I first stumbled upon the ‘Out Getting Ribs’ video.

This video, directed by Jamie James Medina has the same dark, emotive vibe that we’ve come to expect from KK / ZK videos. You into it?

The team behind SOSUEME, the peeps responsible for laying down some of the sweetest parties that Sydney has seen, are at it again with the upcoming SOSUEME Silly Season Launch Party.

The silly season is nearly upon us and they are welcoming it with open arms by throwing one well concocted and rather large launch party – Oxford Art Factory, all three rooms, all night long. This will feature a combination of live music, banging DJs and a silent disco. Hoorah!

If the sheer concept isn’t enough, the appearances that will feature on the night are quite ridiculous. World’s End Press will be performing, as well as: Richard In Your Mind, Mitzi, Toucan, Pearshape, Tim Fitz and Teleprompter, not to mention the swag of killer DJs, ranging from Nina Las Vegas to Joyride.

This will be a belter!

The word “beautiful” when describing music, is often lavishly thrown around, despairingly overused and clichéd beyond all meaning. However, when it comes down to the depiction of MRS BISHOPS’ rendition of this Hives’ classic, no word is more befitting.

This now Sydney based brother/duo team have completely recreated the upbeat, rocking beast of a song “Hate to Say I Told You So”, into a harmoniously layered and ethereal wonderland of charming elegance and graceful tones.

This is a band that is quickly gathering recognition and reputation for their stunningly angelic and melodious creations, captivating all that are blessed enough to cross their music; this latest video release is no exception.

New video for M83′s ‘My Tears Are Becoming A Sea’ taken from his pretty okay ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’. Here’s a little bit of info about the camera used for this clip:
